The Situation:
With its software package PAPA/Q, ACTIS.BSP (a company of the Temenos Group) offers a package solution for financial service providers that is successfully being used by more than 30 banks including the Daimler Chrysler Bank. Development is done on the i5 and i5/OS platform. |
| To offer more than just a green screen, ACTIS.BSP strived to redesign the user interface and “serverize” PABA/Q. |
The Solution:
With the AX/ware Server Builder 400 from PKS, the application was automatically transformed to a 5250-independent server solution. In doing so, the AX/ware Win-Client created an attractive Windows interface adapted to ACTIS requirements and needs. Both the new graphical interface and the green screen can be simultaneously operated. |
In addition to the fresh new look of the application thanks to the visual enhancement through the serverization project, ACTIS.BSP has also foreseen some pleasant and sensible byproducts like the integrated elements of a functional, reliable package or Office integration. Last but not least, “Interactive 0” allows the elimination of interactive CPWs and lets iSeries customers switch to more inexpensive server models. |
