The AX/query Report Generator is an alternative to System i QUERY400 for users who have given their apps graphical interfaces and want to provide their analyses with the same look and feel. In addition, reports compiled with the AX/query Report Generator can be output in HTML, EXCEL and/or CSV format while utilizing all of the layout options these formats offer. You also have the possibility of migrating reports created in QUERY400 to the AX/query Report Generator to supplement them with the extended range of options it provides. |

Reports can be compiled and layout without any in-depth QL knowledge. The versatile functions available when defining complex results field hard copies make it possible for the user to increase the informational content of the reports. The experienced user therefore also has the entire range of SQL commands at his or her fingertips when compiling reports. |

| For the layout, the title, headings and columns of a report are displayed in different fonts, colors and font attributes. A row from the report can also be configured as a “master data list” and directly transferred to MS-Word. |

| The AX/query Report Generator is a native System i application and can therefore be integrated in every System i application (RPG, COBOL, C, etc.) with parameter passing. The programming effort needed to create evaluation lists and results displays is greatly reduced. This feature is also underlined by the possibility of generating spreadsheets with AX/query. |
