Web2.0 Bridge for Server Builder 400
The Web2.0 Bridge for Server Builder 400 allows you to integrate new technologies in applications that you’ve already “guified” with tools from PKS. Java Server Pages (JSP), for example, integrate seamlessly in your existing process flow and open up totally new possibilities of communicating with other applications, systems or services.
In the case of simple integration solutions, you previously only had the possibility of loading and feeding other applications with information from within your existing software. In contrast, Web2.0 Bridge lets you harmoniously embed the communication with other programs in your existing app and its workflow.
Product Description
With Web2.0 Bridge, PKS offers you five different integration modi that give you the highest possible degree of flexibility in the configuration of your software workflow.
Mode I: External Mode
The called application or service is launched in a separate browser window. The called program is detached from the existing process flow so that the control now lies with the
called program.
Mode II: Internal Mode
The called program or service is launched within the overall application mask. Control is transferred from the System i server app to the called JSP page. Information or the control
is returned to the calling program via API functionalities.
Mode III: Frame Mode
The called application or service is only displayed within a defined frame in the application. Menu prompting or other program modules can thus continue to be displayed, allowing for easier navigation.
Mode IV: Pop-Up Mode
The called application or service is displayed in a pop-up window. This is optimal for
displaying selection lists or additional information.
Mode V: Hidden Mode
The called application or service is only called in the background without being displayed. This is particularly comfortable when accessing web services such as the latest exchange rates.
Data can be obtained from web services or other programs this way without having to interrupt your work. EGL Enablement is based on the PKS AX/ware Server Builder 400 and
